The Preakness Stakes, held annually at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland, is the second jewel in the Triple Crown, coming after the Kentucky Derby and before the Belmont Stakes.
Since its creation in 1873, the Preakness has captured the imagination of racing fans with its rich history, exciting races, and showcase of some of the sport's best thoroughbreds.
The Preakness Stakes is a Grade I stakes race for three year-old Thoroughbreds at Pimlico Race Course run on the third Saturday in May. This year, the race will be held on Saturday, Saturday, May 17th. You can watch the Preakness Stakes at 5 p.m. EST on TV on NBC or live stream on NBCSports.com.
