- Derby fourth-place finisher Classic Empire will be vanned to Baltimore on May 14 for the Preakness instead of being sent on a May 16 charter flight.
- Joel Rosario will replace James Graham on Grade 3 Illinois Derby victor Multiplier when the colt runs in the Preakness for the new ownership group of Gary Barber, Adam Wachtel and George Kerr.
- Brendan Walsh remains the conditioner of Multiplier.
- Trainer Doug O’Neill added Term of Art, seventh last out in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby, to the list of Preakness probables.
- Battle of Midway, who completed the Kentucky Derby trifecta, could make his next start in the Grade 3 Affirmed Stakes at Santa Anita on June 24.
- Grade 3 Pat Day Mile Stakes champ Wild Shot is targeting a return in Belmont Park’s Grade 2 Woody Stephens Stakes on the June 10 Grade 1 Belmont Stakes undercard.
