What is the Jenny Wiley Stakes?
The Jenny Wiley Stakes is a Grade I Thoroughbred race held annually at Keeneland Racecourse in Lexington, Kentucky. Run at 1 1/16 miles on the turf for fillies and mares aged four and older, it is one of the premier events for female turf horses in North America each spring. Named after Jenny Wiley, the legendary Kentucky pioneer who survived capture by Native Americans in 1789, the race was inaugurated in 1989 and elevated to Grade I status in 2012.
