The Breeders' Cup has released the official order of races and guaranteed multi-race wagering pools for the 2025 Breeders’ Cup World Championships, scheduled to take place on Friday and Saturday, October 31 and November 1, at Del Mar in California.
There will be a total of 10 races -- five Breeders' Cup races -- on “Future Stars Friday” and 12 races on the Saturday program with nine Breeders' Cup Championship Races.
The Friday program begins with a first-race post time of 11:35 a.m. PT, featuring five undercard races, with the first Breeders’ Cup race the 6th. Saturday’s first post is 10:05 a.m. PT and begins with three undercard races, the first Breeders’ Cup race taking place as the 4th.
Friday’s card will offer: On Friday, there will be a Breeders’ Cup $3 All-Turf Pick 3 on Race 6, the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (G1), Race 8, the John Deere Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1), and Race 10: Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1).
The Breeders’ Cup All-Turf Pick 4 on Saturday is a $.50 minimum wager beginning with Race 5, the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1), and continuing with Race 8, the Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1), Race 10, the Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1), and Race 12, the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1).
The Breeders’ Cup will also offer the Breeders’ Cup All-Dirt Pick 4 on Saturday, which is a $.50 minimum wager. The four races, in order, are Race 4, the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (G1), Race 6, the Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1), Race 7, the Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1), and Race 9, the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1).
The Breeders’ Cup will also offer three Pick 5s on Saturday. The early Pick 5 will be Race 1 through Race 5. The middle Pick 5 will start with Race 5, the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1), and end with Race 9, the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1). The late Pick 5 will start with the Breeders’ Cup Turf and end with the final race of the day, the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1).
