Belmont Stakes Time: Horses, Odds, Post Time and More

While the excitement of a potential Triple Crown is off the table for 2025, the Belmont Stakes still promises high drama and elite competition. This year’s final jewel in the Triple Crown series will once again be held at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York, as Belmont Park remains under construction.

The storied 1 1/4-mile test will feature a much-anticipated rematch between Sovereignty, the victor of the 2025 Kentucky Derby, and Journalism, who surged to win the Preakness Stakes. In the Derby, Journalism went off as the favorite at 4-1 but fell short in the final strides as Sovereignty, a 9-1 shot, powered through the slop at Churchill Downs to claim victory.

Sovereignty was withdrawn from the Preakness by his connections, eliminating the possibility of a Triple Crown bid. That opened the door for Journalism to shine, which he did with a stunning late rally to secure the second jewel of the series.

Now, both champions are set to square off in the Belmont Stakes alongside six other contenders. This field brings a mix of speed, stamina, and redemption stories, making it one of the most compelling renewals in recent years.
