The Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf has always been one of the trickiest races on the card to beat, and the 2026 edition, shaping up at Keeneland on October 31, is no different. Fourteen starters. A wide-open international field. A defending champion with a real shot to go back-to-back. And an ante-post market already telling you the Europeans mean business again. Let's get into it.
The official entries are posted. Race 7 goes at 3:04 PM ET. Here is the full morning line with posts, trainers, and early odds for the key players. Full entry details are available at BUSR.

Gezora (FR), 7-2, Post 5. Graffard has kept her deliberately light since the Del Mar win last fall. That patient campaign paid off at 9-1 on a track that suited closers, and Graffard is running the same playbook now. Post 5 at Keeneland is a workable draw. The turf course at Keeneland plays fair, and she has the class to handle it. The question is whether she gets a setup that lets her close. She is not the kind of filly who wants to be on the lead. If this pace collapses, she wins again. If it turns into a sprint home, she could be vulnerable.
Diamond Necklace (IRE), +350 ante-post. Aidan O'Brien won this race before, and he will ship horses across the Atlantic when he believes they can compete. Diamond Necklace took the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood, which is legitimate Group 1 form. She is the top ante-post play for bettors who want real value without going too deep in the program. The O'Brien horses that travel to Keeneland get serious attention from sharp money closer to post, and she deserves to be on every exotic ticket.
Cinderella's Dream (GB), 9-2, Post 9. Charlie Appleby had her second at the 2024 renewal, and she is back for another shot. Bettors on Reddit are already flagging her as the value play at 9-2, pointing to her Keeneland form. Outside post draws can be tricky at Keeneland over a mile and a quarter on turf, so watch where she settles early. If she can get a ground-saving trip from post 9 and draft behind the pace, she is a very live threat at a price that still represents an overlay versus her true chances.
Diamond Rain (GB), 6-1. Also trained by Appleby, she has been on the board in back-to-back renewals — third in both 2024 and 2025. Board hitters who never win are always suspect, but she is consistent and the price is fair. In a wide-open field, she makes sense as a bottom part of your exotics.
Three horses punched their tickets through the Win and You're In Challenge Series. Kathynmarissa won the Flower Bowl on October 1. Thought Process took the Rodeo Drive Stakes at Santa Anita on October 3. Miss Scott (IRE) grabbed the Prix de l'Opera in France on October 4. All three earned automatic entries into the starting gate.
Kathynmarissa is the live American longshot here. The Flower Bowl at Belmont has historically produced Breeders' Cup-caliber fillies and mares, and winning a Grade 1 qualifier with authority warrants respect. She becomes the USA representative worth keying underneath at a long price if she comes back with a sharp workout tab heading into race week. Check the historical BC Filly & Mare Turf results, and you'll see American-trained horses can get it done when the setup is right.
This race tends to be run at a genuine pace from the front. European shippers are accustomed to honest fractions and don't dog it. Gezora wants to close. Cinderella's Dream is a stalker. Diamond Necklace likely settles mid-pack. Watch for whether any speed horses force a fast pace that sets up the late runners, or whether the race gets walked to the far turn and turns into a sprint home.
With only one favorite winning this race since 2012 (Inspiral in 2023), hammering the chalk straight up isn't the right play. The value in this race has always been in the exotics.
Exacta wheel: Use Diamond Necklace and Cinderella's Dream on top, with Gezora, Diamond Rain, Kathynmarissa, and Miss Scott underneath. A $2 exacta wheel covering two horses on top over four underneath runs you $16. That is a reasonable investment for a race where the favorite often gets beat.
Trifecta construction: Key Diamond Necklace and Cinderella's Dream in the top two spots, with Gezora, Diamond Rain, Kathynmarissa, and Miss Scott in third. A $1 trifecta with two on top, two on top reversed, and four horses third costs $16. If you want to give Gezora her due as the defending champ, include her on top of one ticket with Diamond Necklace and Cinderella's Dream second and the field third.
Superfecta box: A $0.10 superfecta box of five horses — Diamond Necklace, Cinderella's Dream, Gezora, Diamond Rain, Kathynmarissa — costs $12 for 120 combinations. That covers nearly every realistic outcome in this race and gives you a solid shot at a substantial payout in what figures to be a wide-open renewal.
If you are building a Pick 4 through this race, use at least three of these fillies rather than singling the 7-2 chalk. The history of this race tells you to spread. Among the American-trained contingent, Kathynmarissa deserves a closer look. She won the Flower Bowl at a Grade 1 level against a legitimate field. Keeneland's turf course has historically been kind to American-trained closers who can handle firm going. If she shows up with tight works between now and race week, take a shot at whatever price she opens. She is not your win bet, but she belongs under your trifecta and superfecta keys. If she hits the board at double digits, your ticket cashes well.
"Diamond Necklace (IRE) tops the ante-post markets for the 2026 BC Filly & Mare Turf at Keeneland. The Aidan O'Brien trainee won the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood and is a leading European hope. #BreedersCup2026 #Keeneland"
"Official 2026 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf entries posted. Gezora (FR) draws post 5 at 7-2 ML. Cinderella's Dream (GB) in post 9 at 9-2. Race 7 on Saturday October 31 at Keeneland. #BreedersCup #WAYO"
"Gezora won it at 9-1 last year at Del Mar with a late surge. Now she's the 7-2 morning line favorite at Keeneland. I like Cinderella's Dream as a value play at 9-2 — she was second in 2024 and has the Keeneland form. European horses dominate this race historically."
"Diamond Rain keeps hitting the board (3rd in 2025, 3rd in 2024) but never wins. Diamond Necklace at +350 looks like the best ante-post value given her Nassau Stakes form. Kathynmarissa is the live USA longshot after winning the Flower Bowl."

Defending champion Gezora (FR), trained by Francis-Henri Graffard, is the 7-2 morning line favorite from post 5. She won the 2025 renewal at Del Mar at 9-1 and is looking to go back-to-back at Keeneland on October 31. Graffard has kept her prep light and pointed specifically at this race, the same approach that paid off a year ago.
