The Nearctic Stakes is a Grade II turf race for horses aged three and older, contested over five furlongs on the inner turf course at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It’s part of the Woodbine Fall Turf Showcase and attracts some of the fastest turf sprinters in North America each October.
The 2026 Nearctic Stakes is scheduled for October 3rd, during Woodbine’s fall stakes weekend.
Recent winners of the Nearctic Stakes include No Nay Hudson (IRE), who captured the 2025 running over the inner turf at Woodbine. Other past winners feature top turf sprinters that often make noise in late-season turf events and handicapping markets.
