Did you drink too many mint juleps and vow to never drink again on Kentucky Derby Day?
Well, it’s been two weeks — long enough to prove to your friends that you are truly sorry about the lampshade incident… and the punch bowl incident… and the inappropriate behavior with the kitchen mop on the first Saturday in May.
So, grab another kitchen mop and let’s make some Black-Eyed Susans, the official drink of the Preakness Stakes!
INGREDIENTS:
- 3/4 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 3 tablespoons vodka
- 3 tablespoons light rum
- 2 tablespoons orange liqueur
- Crushed ice
- Garnishes: lime slices, fresh cherries
INSTRUCTIONS:
Stir together the first five ingredients and pour over crushed ice. Garnish to taste. Serve immediately. (Makes approximately 24 ounces).
