The Laffit Pincay Jr. Stakes is a Grade 2 stakes race for three-year-olds and older thoroughbreds contested over a distance of 1 1/16 miles, run annually at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. In November 2024 Santa Anita renamed the race in honor of Hall of Fame jockey Laffit Pincay Jr., who won the San Antonio five times over three decades (Before it was knowed as San Antonio Handicap).
The 2025 Laffit Pincay Jr. Stakes is expected to take place on December 26th.
Notable winners of the Laffit Pincay Jr. Stakes include top horses such as Hoppertunity, Game On Dude, Gentlemen (ARG), and Best Pal. Many past winners have gone on to compete in major graded stakes during the winter season, which reinforces the race’s growing importance among bettors and handicappers.
