The Delta Downs Princess Stakes was an annual Grade III American Thoroughbred horse race for two-year-old fillies, which was last run in 2016 and has since been discontinued.
The Delta Princess Stakes was inaugurated in 2002 and typically run in November. It was held on the same day as the Delta Downs Jackpot Stakes, a similar race for two-year-old males. The event was cancelled in 2005 due to Hurricane Katrina and again in 2017 after Hurricane Harvey. The final running occurred in 2016.
Past winners include horses that went on to successful careers, for example Take Charge Brandi (2014), who won the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies and was named champion two-year-old filly that year, Shane's Girlfriend (2016), who won the final edition of the race, Delta Princess, the race's namesake, who won the race in 2001 (before it was graded) and later won the Grade I Endeavour Stakes.
