The Saratoga Oaks Invitational Stakes is a Grade II Thoroughbred race held annually at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York. Contested at 1 3/16 miles on the turf exclusively for 3-year-old fillies, it is the second leg of the Turf Tiara, the premier championship series for sophomore turf fillies in North America, which also includes the Belmont Oaks Invitational in July and the Jockey Club Oaks Invitational in the fall. The race was inaugurated on August 2, 2019 and upgraded to Grade III in 2021 and Grade II in 2024, making it one of the fastest-rising new stakes races in American racing. Sponsored by Fasig-Tipton since 2025, the race has attracted an elite international field each year, with Godolphin winning three of the first seven editions and European-trained horses dominating the proceedings. Charlie Appleby holds the trainer record with two wins — With The Moonlight (IRE) in 2022 and Cinderella's Dream (GB) in 2024 — while William Buick and Flavien Prat share the jockey record with two wins each. The stakes record of 1:52.60 was set by Laurelin (IRE) in 2025, the fastest 1 3/16-mile turf clocking in Saratoga history by a 3-year-old filly.
The 2026 Saratoga Oaks Invitational Stakes is scheduled for Friday, August 7 at Saratoga Race Course on the same card as the National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes. Contested at 1 3/16 miles on the turf with a purse of $500,000, the race is the second leg of the Turf Tiara and draws an elite international field of 3-year-old fillies targeting the Jockey Club Oaks and the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf in the fall.
Laurelin (IRE) delivered the most dominant performance in the race's brief history in 2025, setting the stakes record of 1:52.60 under Kendrick Carmouche for trainer H. Graham Motion and Newstead Stables, drawing clear in the stretch to win by 3½ lengths in a performance that established her as the top 3-year-old turf filly in North America. Godolphin's Cinderella's Dream (GB) gave trainer Charlie Appleby and jockey William Buick a 2024 score in 1:54.92, the Frankel filly completing the Belmont Oaks-Saratoga Oaks double in dominant fashion before a disappointing Jockey Club Oaks run. Elusive Princess (FR) gave trainer Jean-Philippe Dubois and jockey Flavien Prat a 2023 upset in 1:57.08 for LNJ Foxwoods — one of the most surprising international victories in the race's history. With The Moonlight (IRE) gave Appleby and William Buick an equally dominant 2022 win in 1:54.60 for Godolphin, wire-to-wire from the start. Con Lima gave trainer Todd Pletcher and Prat a 2021 score in 1:54.42 for a star-studded partnership including Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners and Joseph Graffeo.
